-
Tea Tree Oil
(Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil)The heart of Spot On. Tea tree is one of the most studied plant oils for blemish-prone skin. Fresh and clean, it helps skin look clearer.
-
Zinc Oxide
(Zinc Oxide)A skin-protecting mineral, used in barrier creams for years. It sits over the spot and helps calm the look of redness.
-
Castor Oil
(Ricinus Communis Seed Oil)Why the balm stays put. Castor oil is thick and stays exactly where you dab it, so tea tree and zinc oxide stay on the spot all night instead of spreading.
-
Rosehip Oil
(Rosa Canina Fruit Oil)Rich in linoleic acid, a fatty acid blemish-prone skin tends to be short of. Helps skin look smoother and more even, including the marks a spot leaves behind.
-
Calendula Infused Oil
(Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (and) Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract)Sunflower oil infused with marigold petals. Here to soothe and comfort the skin around a spot. Calendula has been used in skincare for centuries.
-
Hemp Seed Oil
(Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil)Cold-pressed from hemp seeds: no CBD, no THC. Another linoleic-rich oil that supports skin without feeling heavy.
-
Shea Butter
(Butyrospermum Parkii Butter)Gives the balm body and a light, comfortable layer. Keeps it gentle and non-stripping on skin that already feels sore.
-
Candelilla Wax
(Euphorbia Cerifera Cera)A plant wax, so the balm is vegan. Keeps it firm in the jar, even in summer, without making it hard to apply.
-
Vitamin E
(Tocopherol (and) Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil)A natural antioxidant that keeps the oils fresh, so the last dab is as good as the first.
-
Frankincense Oil
(Boswellia Carterii Oil)Warm and resinous. Works alongside tea tree to help skin look calm.
-
Chamomile Oil
(Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil)Roman chamomile, one of the best-known calming botanicals in skincare. Helps soothe the skin around a spot and calm the look of redness.
-
Scent: named in full
(Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil · Boswellia Carterii Oil · Anthemis Nobilis Flower Oil)Tea tree, frankincense and chamomile, chosen for what they do, not just how they smell. Every one named on the label. No parfum, ever.
Your questions, answered
-
What is Spot On for?
Spot On by Audere Pure is a natural spot balm for blemish-prone skin. Dab it onto a spot overnight. Tea tree, zinc oxide, rosehip and calendula in a castor oil base help calm the look of redness and spots, so skin looks clearer.
-
How do I use Spot On?
Cleanse and pat dry, then dab a small amount of Spot On onto the spot with a clean fingertip or cotton bud. Leave it on overnight as the last step of your evening routine. Use it on the spot only, not all over your face.
-
How do I get rid of a spot overnight?
No product can promise a spot will vanish by morning. What helps: cleanse gently, leave it alone, and dab Spot On onto it before bed. It stays put all night and helps calm the look of redness, so the spot looks less angry when you wake up.
-
Should I pop my spots?
Best not. Squeezing can push dirt deeper, make redness worse and leave a mark. Keep your hands off, cleanse gently and dab Spot On on at night instead. If a spot is large, painful or keeps coming back, see your pharmacist or GP.
-
What is a good skincare routine for teenage spots?
Keep it simple. Cleanse gently morning and night, use a light moisturiser, don't scrub, and wear SPF in the day. At night, dab Spot On onto any spots. If spots are painful, widespread or leaving scars, see your GP or pharmacist.
-
Is tea tree oil good for spots?
Tea tree is one of the most studied plant oils for blemish-prone skin. Never put neat essential oil on your skin. In Spot On, tea tree is blended into a castor oil base with zinc oxide, rosehip and calendula, and the formula is independently safety assessed.
-
Is Spot On suitable for teenagers and tweens?
Yes. Spot On is made for tweens, teens and adults with blemish-prone skin. It has no synthetic fragrance, no parabens and no harsh exfoliating acids. It does contain essential oils, so patch test first.
-
Is Spot On suitable for sensitive skin?
Spot On contains tea tree, frankincense and chamomile essential oils, all named on the label. Tea tree is the one most likely to bother very sensitive skin. Patch test on your inner arm and wait 24 hours before using it on your face. Don't use it on broken skin.
-
Can I use Spot On during pregnancy?
Spot On contains no retinoids, no parabens and no synthetic fragrance. It does contain essential oils (tea tree, frankincense and chamomile), so check with your midwife or GP before using it while pregnant or breastfeeding.
-
Does Spot On contain parfum or allergens?
No parfum. Every scent ingredient in Spot On is named in full: tea tree, frankincense and chamomile essential oils. There are no fragrance allergens to declare. It does contain shea butter, which comes from a tree nut.
-
Can I wear Spot On under make-up?
You can dab a little Spot On on under make-up, but the castor oil base leaves a slight sheen. Most people find it works best at night, when it can stay put undisturbed.
-
Who makes Spot On?
Spot On is made by Audere Pure, an independent natural skincare brand founded by Audrey Hayes. Every batch is made by hand in small batches in the UK, and the formula has a full Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR).
