-
Patchouli Essential Oil
Rich, dark and earthy. It adds warmth and body alongside the vetiver.

Your questions, answered
-
What is Root Pulse Point Roller for?
Root Pulse Point Roller by Audere Pure is a vetiver and patchouli scent roller for your pulse points. It's designed as a grounding, earthy stillness ritual for busy days, when you need something steady to come back to.
-
How do I use Root Pulse Point Roller?
Roll Root onto clean, dry pulse points: wrists, temples or the sides of the neck. Pause and breathe in. Reapply whenever you like.
-
Where are your pulse points?
Pulse points are spots where blood vessels sit close to the skin: inner wrists, inner elbows, the sides of the neck and the temples. The skin there is warm, which helps a scent like Root carry. Roll it on and breathe in.
-
What does vetiver smell like?
Vetiver smells deep, smoky and earthy, like damp soil and roots. In Root, it's paired with patchouli for a rich, steady scent.
-
What's the difference between vetiver and patchouli?
Vetiver is smoky and rooty. Patchouli is darker, sweeter and more earthy. Together in Root, they make a deep, grounding blend with no citrus or florals.
-
What are grounding scents?
Grounding scents are usually deep, earthy and woody: think roots, resins and soil rather than flowers or fruit. Root is built entirely from that family, with vetiver and patchouli.
-
Is Root suitable for sensitive skin?
Root is made for most adult skin types and has no alcohol and no synthetic fragrance. It does contain essential oils, which can bother skin that reacts to fragrance. Patch test on the inner arm for 24 hours before using it on pulse points.
-
Can I use Root during pregnancy?
Root doesn't contain clary sage or peppermint, the two essential oils our safety assessment flags for a pregnancy caution. Even so, check with your midwife or GP before using any new product while pregnant or breastfeeding.
-
Is Root vegan and natural?
Yes. Root is vegan and cruelty-free. The scent comes from natural essential oils only (vetiver and patchouli). No parfum, no synthetic fragrance.
-
Can children use Root Pulse Point Roller?
Root Pulse Point Roller is not for children under 12. It contains essential oils, so keep it out of reach of younger children.
-
Who makes Root Pulse Point Roller?
Root Pulse Point Roller is made by Audere Pure, an independent natural skincare brand founded by Audrey Hayes. Every batch is made by hand in small batches in the UK, and it has a full Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR).
