Pure Restore Face Balm | Natural Calendula & Rosehip Face Balm
Bloom Range · Small-batch Berkshire · Face & Lips
The Pure Restore Face Balm by Audere Pure is a rich, anhydrous face and lip balm built around calendula-infused oil and rosehip — two of the most skin-comforting botanicals used in natural skincare. Every ingredient is named on the label. No 'parfum'. Made by hand in Berkshire in small batches. 30ml, £22.00.
This is the comfort step — the one you reach for when skin feels tight, reactive or in need of something more concentrated than a cream. Rosehip oil and calendula-infused sunflower oil nourish and calm the look of redness, while squalane cushions without weight and mango seed butter gives it that cushiony, rich feel. A fine mist of arrowroot takes the shine off so it presses in silky rather than slick. Lavender essential oil adds a soft botanical scent — named in full on the label, never hidden behind 'parfum'. A little goes a long way. £22.00.

Every Ingredient, Explained
If it's in the balm, it's on the label — and here's exactly why it's there. Swipe through.
Rosehip Oil
Rosa Canina Fruit Oil
The heart of the balm at 25% — a nourishing plant oil rich in skin-loving fatty acids, including linoleic and oleic acid, that helps condition and restore dry, depleted skin.
How it works: the high linoleic acid content helps reinforce the skin's lipid barrier, improving moisture retention in dry and reactive skin. (add source link)
Squalane
Squalane
A weightless emollient that mimics the slip of skin's own natural oils. At 24% it cushions and smooths, helping the richer ingredients absorb without leaving a greasy film.
How it works: squalane is structurally similar to the squalene produced naturally by human sebaceous glands, making it exceptionally well-tolerated by reactive skin. (add source link)
Calendula-Infused Oil
Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract
Marigold flowers steeped in sunflower oil — long used to soothe and comfort skin that's dry, tight or easily upset. At 24%, it's what gives this balm its calming character on reactive skin.
Clinical evidence: calendula extract has been found to be non-sensitising and well-tolerated in repeated dermal exposure studies, with no irritant effects at cosmetic use levels. (CIR Safety Assessment, https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/pdf/10.1177/1091581810384883)
Mango Seed Butter
Mangifera Indica Seed Butter
A soft, quickly-absorbed plant butter that nourishes and conditions without heaviness — it's what gives the balm its rich, cushiony feel. At 17%, it's the structural backbone alongside the wax.
How it works: rich in stearic and oleic acids, mango butter forms a protective layer on the skin's surface that slows moisture loss without blocking pores.
Candelilla Wax
Euphorbia Cerifera Cera
A plant wax from the candelilla shrub of northern Mexico. It gives the balm its firm, protective set and seals in moisture — and being entirely plant-derived, it keeps this balm beeswax-free and vegan.
Arrowroot Powder
Maranta Arundinacea Powder
A fine, natural plant powder that softens the finish. It takes the shine off the oils so the balm presses in silky rather than slick, and helps it feel lighter on skin than you'd expect from something this nourishing.
Vitamin E
Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil
A natural antioxidant blend — tocopherol carried in sunflower seed oil. It conditions skin and helps protect the oils in the balm from oxidation, keeping the formula fresh for longer.
The Scent — Named in Full
Lavandula Angustifolia Oil
Pure lavender essential oil — soft, botanical and calming. At 0.3%, it's a light touch rather than a statement. One oil, named in full on the label. No 'parfum', ever: what you smell is the plant.
The Allergen Declaration
Linalool
Not an added ingredient — linalool occurs naturally within lavender essential oil, and UK cosmetics law requires it to be declared on the label above a set threshold. Brands using 'parfum' can hide this; we list it plainly.
