Pure Restore Face Balm is a rich, water-free balm built around rosehip and calendula-infused oil. Squalane cushions without weight, mango seed butter adds body, and a fine dusting of arrowroot means it presses in silky, not slick. A little goes a long way.

How to use

  1. Use as the last step in your routine, morning, night or both.
  2. Apply to slightly damp skin if you can. It helps lock in comfort.
  3. Warm a small amount between clean fingertips until it softens.
  4. Press, don't rub, into dry or reactive areas and onto lips.

Tip: on dry days, smooth a tiny amount over your lips at bedtime.

  • Rosehip Oil

    (Rosa Canina Fruit Oil)

    The heart of the balm. A nourishing plant oil rich in fatty acids, including linoleic and oleic acid. It conditions dry, depleted skin and helps support the skin's moisture barrier.

  • Squalane

    (Squalane)

    A weightless emollient, very similar to the oils skin makes itself, so reactive skin tends to get on well with it. It cushions and smooths, and helps the richer ingredients sink in without a greasy film.

  • Calendula-Infused Oil

    (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (and) Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract)

    Marigold flowers steeped in sunflower oil, long used to soothe and comfort skin that's dry, tight or easily upset. It's what gives this balm its calming character.

  • Mango Seed Butter

    (Mangifera Indica Seed Butter)

    A soft plant butter that nourishes without heaviness. It forms a light protective layer that slows moisture loss and gives the balm its rich, cushiony feel.

  • Candelilla Wax

    (Euphorbia Cerifera Cera)

    A plant wax from the candelilla shrub. It gives the balm its firm set and seals in moisture, and keeps the balm beeswax-free and vegan. It's firmer than beeswax, so the balm holds up in warmer weather.

  • Arrowroot Powder

    (Maranta Arundinacea Powder)

    A fine plant powder that takes the shine off the oils, so the balm presses in silky rather than slick and feels lighter than you'd expect.

  • Vitamin E

    (Tocopherol (and) Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil)

    A natural antioxidant carried in sunflower oil. It conditions skin and keeps the oils in the balm fresh for longer.

  • Is Pure Restore Face Balm an all-over moisturiser?

    Not quite. Pure Restore Face Balm is a concentrated balm. A small amount warmed between your fingertips and pressed into the driest patches is all you need. It's rich enough to work hard on targeted areas without feeling heavy.

  • How do I stop my face feeling tight and dry?

    Dry, tight skin needs moisture and something to hold it in. Use Pure Restore Face Balm as the last step, over your serum or moisturiser, ideally on slightly damp skin. The balm seals in what's underneath while rosehip and calendula comfort the skin. If skin is cracked, sore or not improving, see your pharmacist or GP.

    Calendula-infused oil, marigold flowers steeped in sunflower oil, is a traditional choice for comforting dry, tight and easily upset skin.
