Mini · 10ml · Try it before the full size

You want what people use retinol for, without the sting, the flaking or the sun-sensitivity.

Bakuchiol is a plant-based alternative to retinol, from the babchi plant. Here it sits in rosehip, argan, jojoba and squalane, with soothing bisabolol, to soften the look of fine lines and even out tone. A few drops press in and sink, morning or night. Same formula as the 30ml, in a 10ml bottle.

  • 10ml mini of our best-selling facial oil
  • Eight ingredients, every one named
  • Free with orders over £50 (choose this or the Calm & Quench mini)

No parfum. The soft, resinous scent comes from frankincense and helichrysum, both named on the label.

Every ingredient, explained

If it's in the bottle, it's on the label, and here's exactly why it's there. Swipe through.

  • Rosehip Seed Oil

    (Rosa Canina Seed Oil)

The oil the formula is built on. Rich in essential fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamin A, it conditions skin and helps improve the look of uneven tone and texture over time.

  • Argan Oil

    (Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil)

Naturally high in vitamin E and fatty acids. It softens and conditions, so skin feels supple and comfortable, not tight.

  • Jojoba

    (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil)

Technically a liquid wax that closely mirrors the skin's own oils. It absorbs easily and helps keep skin feeling balanced, which is why this oil suits oily and dry skin alike.

  • Squalane

    (Squalane)

A weightless emollient with the same slip as the oils skin makes itself. It smooths, and helps the oil spread evenly without a greasy film.

  • Bakuchiol

    (Bakuchiol)

The plant-based alternative to retinol, from the babchi plant. It's well studied for improving the look of fine lines and uneven tone, without retinol's sun-sensitivity or flaky 'purging' phase. Gentle enough for sensitive skin and daytime use.

  • Bisabolol

    (Bisabolol)

The gentle, soothing part of chamomile. It keeps the oil calm and comfortable on skin that's easily upset.

  • Helichrysum

    (Helichrysum Italicum Oil)

Also called immortelle, and one of the most prized botanicals in skincare, chosen for its comforting reputation. It also gives the oil part of its soft scent.

  • Scent: named in full

(Boswellia Carterii Oil · Helichrysum Italicum Oil)

Frankincense brings a soft, resinous warmth and helichrysum rounds it out. Two named plants, no parfum. The scent is light and barely there.

Your questions, answered

  • What is the Bakuchiol & Helichrysum Facial Oil 10ml Mini?

It's a 10ml bottle of Bakuchiol & Helichrysum Facial Oil by Audere Pure, a facial oil for smoother, more even-looking skin. It softens the look of fine lines and helps even tone. It's £9.50, a simple way to try it before buying the 30ml.

  • Is the mini the same formula as the full size?

Yes. Same formula, smaller bottle. The full-size Bakuchiol & Helichrysum Facial Oil is 30ml and £24.99.

  • How long does a 10ml mini last?

A 10ml bottle holds roughly 200 drops. At 3 to 5 drops a time, that's around 40 to 65 uses: roughly six to nine weeks once a day, or three to four weeks morning and night. It depends on how many drops you use.

  • Can I get the mini free?

Yes. Spend over £50 and you can choose one free mini: this facial oil or The Calm & Quench Serum mini. One free mini per order.

  • What is bakuchiol?

Bakuchiol is a plant compound from the babchi plant. It's well studied for improving the look of fine lines and uneven tone in a similar way to retinol, but without the sun-sensitivity or the flaky 'purging' period retinol can bring.

  • How do I use the mini?

Warm 3 to 5 drops between your palms and press onto cleansed face and neck, morning or evening. In the morning, follow with SPF.

  • Is bakuchiol safe in pregnancy?

Retinol is usually avoided in pregnancy, which is one reason people turn to bakuchiol. Bakuchiol is widely considered suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and Bakuchiol & Helichrysum Facial Oil was formulated with that in mind. It also contains frankincense and helichrysum essential oils. Everyone's circumstances differ, so check with your midwife or GP first.

  • Who makes the mini?

Bakuchiol & Helichrysum Facial Oil is made by Audere Pure, an independent natural skincare brand founded by Audrey Hayes. Every batch is made by hand in small batches in the UK. It's vegan: no beeswax or other animal-derived ingredients.
